The phrase all-inclusive is used very loosely in the UK Umrah market. Always ask any agency to confirm these five things in writing before deposit.

Return flights from your UK airport. Both directions. Named airline.

Saudi Umrah visa included in the quoted price. Not added at checkout.

Hotel in Makkah. Specific property named and confirmed.

Hotel in Madinah. Same standard.

Ground transportation. Airport transfers in both cities. Makkah to Madinah journey.

If any of these five is absent the package is not all-inclusive. Do not compare its price directly with one that includes all five.

How Far Is the Hotel From the Haram — Does It Matter?

Yes. It matters more than almost anything else about the package.

This is the question I wish more people asked before booking. The ones who ask it make much better decisions. The ones who do not ask it often come back saying they wish they had stayed closer to the Haram.

Which Month Should We Go?

The honest answer is: it depends on your situation.

If Your Dates Are Flexible October. 28-34 degrees in Makkah. Comfortable at any time of day. Smaller crowds than Ramadan or school holiday peaks. The most competitive pricing of the year. Experienced pilgrims who have been multiple times consistently choose October.

If You Have School-Age Children

February half-term 18-22 degrees. Best weather of any school holiday window. Manageable crowds. 7-night package fits the week.

Easter 25-30 degrees. Two weeks for a 10-night package.

December 20-24 degrees. Christmas holidays. Book by July.

Summer July-August longest window, 40-45 degrees. Requires planning. Gold or Platinum recommended to reduce outdoor walking in heat.

If Spiritual Significance Is the Priority

Birmingham Airport is 20-30 minutes from most Midlands Muslim areas. For Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Leicester — no 90-minute drive to London required.

Leeds Bradford Airport serves West Yorkshire directly. Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax — all within 30 minutes.

London Heathrow has the most direct flights. Best for London and South East.
